Job Description
B.J.M Program, Bachelor of Arts Program in Journalism (Mass Media Studies), is an English language program established in 2006 under the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, Thammasat University. The program contains courses about media in which we provide students with mass media theories and practices. Additionally, we emphasize importantly on ethics, codes of conduct, and laws of mass media. We aim to produce scholar graduates with both academic knowledge and professional skills for integrated mass media and new media. The instructor is responsible in giving lectures as well as assisting students during courses. He or she will have to provide both academic knowledge, career expertise, as well as research methodology. Concurrently, the instructor will have to cultivate ethics, morals, and principles to students. The successful candidate must be able to work at Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus
Qualifications
1. Graduated Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Journalism, Mass Communication, Communication Arts, or related field
• In case of Master’s Degree graduate; the applicant must be qualified as followed
- - Graduated Bachelor’s Degree with minimum GPA of 3.00, and with no F grade in compulsory courses
- Graduated Master’s Degree with minimum GPA of 3.50
- Graduated from universities that university executive committees certified
- - Graduated Bachelor’s Degree with minimum GPA of 3.00, and with no F grade in compulsory courses
- Graduated Master’s Degree with minimum GPA of 3.25
- Graduated from universities that university executive committees certified
Required Documents for Applications
1. A copy of graduation certificate/ degree certificate, and a copy of transcript. Please bring the original ones to declare on the application day. In case that all documents are not in English, the applicant must bring the translated ones along with the translation certified documents.
In case that the applicant graduated from the university that does not calculate grade point averages, the applicant must bring the document comparing your academic record with grading system and a description of the document.
2. A copy of passport
3. A copy of names and surnames change, if any.
4. Two photos with no hat and no glasses, sized 1 inch or 2 inches. The photos must have been taken no longer than one year.
5. Medical certificate (original one) which has been issued no longer than 6 months until the application day.
6. Details of career experience or work certificate.
7. Academic research, article, report, or special project.
8. Recommendation letter, if any.

Please note that the successful candidate of full-time foreign instructor for B.J.M. Program has to be approved for position appointment by Thammasat University Executive Board authorized by Thammasat University council. In case if the first successful candidate has not approved by Thammasat University Executive board, the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication have the right to call the replacement candidate for the position.
